Remove the 737 CDU. It´s possible ?

Hello everyone, can you remove the CDU from the 737 and connect an external CDU as for example Open cockpits?

 Welcome to the forums, please note that PMDG requires that users include a signature block with the user's name, first and last, in all posts in the PMDG forum.

Remove it completly no, use an external one yes there are options out there like the Engravity CDU (v1)  with extra drivers I believe flight deck solutions one. You need to see if the vendor you buy the hardware has made it compatible to work with our software.

There is no need to remove the CDUs. You can use a hardware CDU from Opencockpits and it will work fine with OC4BAv4 software. All other Opencockpits hardware will also work fine with OC4BAv4.

I just bought the Flight Deck Solutions CDU and it works great. I had to change a config file allowing me to move the PMDG cdu to the FDS cdu.
