RTL 1090 as input for PSXseeconTraffic

Recommended Posts

Hi Nico,

would it be possible to use software like RTL1090 as input for PSXseeconTraffic in stead of RealTraffic in a future release?

It would be nice to use real traffic data from an RTL-SDR Dongle and not needed an internet connection.

Kind Regards,

Ron

Hi Ron,

Interesting idea, but that would only work (if it works) very locally. You could only use it for plane spotting locally, but not for a simulator flight from A to B.

Besides, PSXseeconTraffic also gets the QNH from RealTraffic, that has to be solved in a different way too.

I have no plans at the moment to look into it.

BTW, what's your problem with an internet connection?

Regards,

Nico

Hi Nico,

As you mentioned only to use it for plane spotting locally(EHAM for me).

I'd liked the idea sitting in my backyard watching planes flying over me and watch them virtually(in FSX) on my laptop, listen to my airbandradio and all without the use of internet.

Thanks for your great program anyway and quick answer to.

Vriendelijke groeten(greetings)

Ron
