That is one of the funniest posts I have read in months David!

Thanks for that...

How do I turn off the realism? Buy a different add on maybe???

Come on, that question is really strange. You ask to remove a RL feature which everyone is happy about.

Maybe you could explain why you want to remove it? is it the sound?

Guys - cut Paul a little slack please. Yes, it IS an unusual request BUT we all set up our sim the way WE prefer it for whatever reason.

Paul - feel free to continue asking questions  - you won't get that type of reaction on all of them.

But there is no way to disable that animation selectively - it is either on or off ALL the time.

Paul,

Set up your default flight as clear skies and no wind. (That's my default also).

Load a CFM version because the engines are known for there clacking sounds when the blades turn in the wind.

Open the Cockpit windows.

Startup AS weather.

Not only will you hear the engine very gently spool to the amount of wind but you will hear when there are gusts of wind because you will hear the CFM's spool up more and then return to whatever wind is there.

You can then if you wish to stop AS and hear them slowly and very realistic stop.

This aircraft has OCD built into everything. Enjoy it for what it is. Really that was my point. Not hoping to turn things off that have very realistically been added to match RL. Enjoy the FSL for what it is. A true masterpiece.

Thanks. Although here:

it seems like it stops completely...

Yes, they are NEO engines, they run through a gear which "enabling the fan to turn at a different speed than the core", it won't rotate like the usual turbofan engines.

We can not turn the fan easily with our bare hand like the older ones, which is the same for the wind.

Cheers,
Hoang Le
