Ultimate Traffic Live does not have a valid registration license

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am trying to install Ultimate Traffic Live onto my new computer running Windows 10, and keep getting an error saying, "Ultimate Traffic Live does not have a valid registration license." This is only the second time installing this purchase, and I made sure to uninstall it off my previous computer. I also copied the Flight One Software folder with the license, to the C directory.

  1. Could this be happening because I installed UTL to another drive, instead of C?
  2. I tried reinstalling with anti virus and defender turned off. Still no go.
  3. The installer did not ask me to register, or load the old license file.

Of the dozens of addons I just went through and reinstalled, this is the only one to have caused a hiccup. Anyone happen to know a solution?

The Flight1 license file is tied to the PC and drive the software is installed on.  If you're copying over the license data from the old installation, then it's going to be invalid, as it is keyed to the PC/drive which that license file was created on.  I'd recommend uninstalling the software from Windows, then delete the license file from the Flight One Software folder, then install the software using the F1 installer--as part of that process the installer will write out new license file data.  Do NOT then overwrite the license with the old files, or you'll be back to square one.

Regards

Hello Sir, can you please assist me. I forgot to uninstall the program before installing a clean windows 10. So now it says somehow its not valid, is there an active licence somewhere at a server perhaps?

If yes, is it possible to delete this one? Thank you in advance.

Did you uninstall UTLive?  Go to Search and type Add Remove and look up in the menu and click on Add or Remove Programs.  Find Ultimate Traffic Live and uninstall it.  Restart your computer.  Once your computer is restarted, start up P3D and see if UTLive tries to load again.  If not, close P3D and reinstall UTLive with Admin Privileges (right click on the installer and select Run as Administrator).  You should find the install program, license, key, and the setup program in C:\Flight One Software.  If not, you are going to have to download it again from Flight One and select "Reinstall" when the program starts up.

Once you uninstall any program on your computer, you can check to see if there are any leftover files/folders by clicking on This PC and going to the search bar and search for UTLive.

If you have P3DV4, there was an Addon.xml created for UTLive.  This is the file that loads when you start up P3D.  You should delete it.  It is located in C:\Documents\Prepar3d V4 Add-ons.

I also have an uninstall program for UTLive in C:\Program Files\Flight One Software\Ultimate Traffic Live.  Double-clicking on this program might also uninstall the program from your system.  There is also a utLive Installation Guide in file:///C:/Program%20Files/Flight%20One%20Software/Ultimate%20Traffic%20Live/utLive_InstallGuide.pdf

Thank you Jim for your help, I checked all your points and they were clear. Redownloaded the software and reactivated my serial(just in case)

It now installed flawless and is working fine.

Thank you again for your help and have a fine day!
