xJet plugin needed for KAWO causes other aircraft to constantly re-prompt for activation?

Recommended Posts

There is a long standing issue i have had (and i think others) that if you have the xJet plugin enabled, which is needed for KAWO to work.. many aircraft constantly reprompt for activation.. IE: most Just Flight aircrafts.. such as the PA28 arrow/ warrior etc..

Has anyone found a workaround short of disabling xJet as of yet.. or for that matter.. anyone else also ran into this?

Thanks in advance

Hi, yes, I recently ran into this problem after installing the Bonanza F33 for XP-11.  There is a discussion about this problem on the org.  Apparently it's due to a conflict between two plugins, xJet and SASL.  So far, apparently, no one is claiming responsibility, so for the time being there probably won't be a fix.

In the mean time there is a simple workaround which worked for me, at least. Simply temporarily remove the xJet plugin, fire up XP-11, go to an airport, activate the license for your plane if asked.  Then shut down XP, drop the xJet folder back into your plugins folder, and that should be it. When I did this process I was not asked to re-register my aircraft after removing the plugin.  Apparently the xJet plugin had been interfering with the process being completed.

Good luck to anyone else having this problem!

Regards,

Tom

I have to say that apparently I don't have the problem solved yet. When I started up XP this evening with the F33, I was required to reactivate again.  In addition I also needed to reactivate my X-aviation license.

Just for kicks I shut down and restarted XP and started a flight with a default aircraft, and there was no requirement to activate anything. I then switched to the F33 without issue.  I'll have to keep experimenting and see if this solves the problem.

BTW, I'm really loving this F33 for XP-11 : )
