PAINT RR engines have dull areas and not reflective

so when I go to the sim on the engines I get these odd strips or chunks of silver that when painted over are dull and none shiny none reflective 

 

the two you see are outboard strip near the back

inner top of the engine block

another side outer is fine inner looks like a bee anyone knows what they are or how to remove will not show in PS only in sim

It looks like there could be a specular file in play. Check if there is a _spec.dds or _s.dds file that is other wise named the same as the engine texture file. For example, if the engine texture is named myengine.dds, look for a texture named myengine_s.dds or myengine_spec.dds. If you find it, that will be where your stripes are coming from. it may even be in the master texture folder.

The specular file adjusts how the model reacts to reflected light.
