RCDU server not connecting to CRJ / MD

Recommended Posts

Hello Mark,

using SimServer 4.1.0.3, P3D V4.2, Windows 10

Everything seems to be working for all three PMDG aircraft, but it doesn't connect to either the Aerosoft CRJ or the MadDog ("Server Status: Connected, waiting for aircraft")

In my defense, I have just started using RCDU, and I may have overlooked something that needs to be set up for these aircraft first?

Best regards

Dear Oliver,

regarding the 717 - make sure you are part of community update: http://forums.tfdidesign.com/index.php?/forum/25-community-opt-in-beta/

You'll need to install the Performance Update (1.0.9.27) which also adds support for Remote CDU.

Regarding the CRJ: Aerosoft will very soon release SP1 for the CRJ, which is needed for Remote CDU to work - so please standby a few more days here.

You can follow the progress here: http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/131994-crj-700900x-update-progress/&tab=comments#comment-876957

Best regards

Mark

Hello Mark,

I don't have the TFDi 717, the issue is with the latest version of the Leonardo "MadDog".

OK about the CRJ - but... a note, saying that even the full license of the CRJ RCDU is non-functional would have been nice... or maybe not putting it on sale just yet...

Best regards

Ah sorry, misread your initial post. Yes, for the Maddog, you need to update to version 1.10, which has been released on April 10th. If it is still not working, please contact me directly (foti.mark[at]gmail.com)

Regarding the not-yet released CRJ - you are right, I understand this caught you by surprise and I apologize for it. To try and reassure you: As you can see on the Aerosoft forum, Hans Hartmann (developer of the CRJ) is showing the Remote CDU so I hope you trust me that this functionality will be available very soon.

I also understand the disclaimer in the news on the AVSIM front page showing the Remote CDU, indicating the CRJ will be supported after SP1, may be easy to miss as well.

Best regards / viele Grüße

Mark

Hello Mark,

Maddog is sorted out, many thanks for your reply!

The B717 mixup was my mistake, I bought the RCDU license although I don't even have the plane... Must have been the flu fogging up my brain.

About the CRJ: personally I wouldn't sell a module that is non functional if I were you - especially when you know it. At least in German sales contract laws this is "problematic" at best. The in-app purchase doesn't carry additional information, so anyone could end up buying it. Maybe keep it visible, but disable the checkbox for the time being?

Best regards

Hi Oliver,

thanks for your insights on this topic. I've uploaded a new version which adds a notice regarding the CRJ to make it clearer.

I appreciate your feedback!

Best regards

Mark
