How to get rid of the waves?

Featured Replies

How to get rid of the waves at the shoreline. I find them very unrealistic. Is there a file our group of files that I can take away. You can see in the att file what i mean.ThomasESNN

ThomasIf your screenie is anything to go by, you are running extremely low graphics resolution (albeit that your shot is compressed etc.) which would make them look fairly unattractive and blocky, indeed. They should not be that way, they look great on my system (which is nothing special ... 1.8GHZ, 768MB RAM, GeForce 4 ti4800 card).Relevant files in EFFECTS are wavecontroller.fx and fx_waves.fx. You could try backing those up and see what happens. I'm not about to try it myself as I just love surfing those tubes!MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a]

I believe the effects are called by the file terrain.cfg. scroll down and you will see various shoreline entries have an Effect=wavecontroller or Effect=lakewavecontroller. You could comment those lines out and it should stop the waves.scott s..
