No Taxiing or aircraft in the air

There are no aircraft in the air or any taxiing with PSXSEECONTRAFFIC and real traffic only traffic parked at gates. not sure why. it used to work then after an update of both real traffic and psxseecon traffic it started doing this.  show ground traffic and show air traffic are both selected in real traffic

Hi Kiek, thanks for your reply. Yes there are aircraft in my area on Real traffic, however in the sim i only see planes parked at the gates, this is a new issue i am experiencing at all airports. It used to work fine a few weeks ago. Its quite strange.

Show Gnd tfc ticked.

Show Air tfc ticked.

Auto show not ticked.

I have a - maybe - related issue. I just made a flight from Osaka RJBB to Nagoja RJNA. Osaka is the recently released BDOAviation and traffic (ground as well as air) was fine there.

However, after landing at RJNA (which is the default airport) there is neither air traffic nor any traffic at the gates - all empty. There is a message in the green PSXSeecontraffic bar saying something about the height (I think) and traffic being removed. Further, I tried to input RJNA into the destination field, after which PSXSeecontraffic replied the airport not being in the database. This is certainly not the case as RJNA is in my parked folder. It carries the date of today, thus I must have created (or re-created) it when I rerun the Parkpos Generator after installing Osaka.

Any idea what might have gone wrong? Unfortunately, I had all logging off (I know... not a bright idea, will change this). Real Traffic Settings are okay.

Hi Kiek, Found the issue, was my rubbish ISP. Enabled my VPN and it works perfectly now. It seems like they have blocked nearly all ports unfortunately.

Hello Michael,

No your case is different. RJNA is not in the internal database of PSXseeconTraffic. I have to add it first.

I am not at home now and the coming days, will add it after June 9.

No your case is different. RJNA is not in the internal database of PSXseeconTraffic. I have to add it first.

I am not at home now and the coming days, will add it after June 9.

I remotely recall there once was a possibility to add airports to the database by the user himself... but I may be wrong. Would it be hard to provide code to add such cases to the database automatically, maybe when running ParkPosGenerator?

You are right but that method was prone to errors. I want to guarantee the correctness of the airport lat/lon data. That's why I add airports upon request. There are already 4214 airports in the database so most places where people normally fly are covered.

However, your ParkposGenerator solution might be a good Idea. I will give it some thought.

RJNA is available in existing version 10.5, please re-download.

Thanks Nico, will try it later. I always download new versions.

Over the long run it would be worth to look for an automated addition of airports, maybe via Parkpos Generator. As a nearly pure GA flyer I often fly into/out of such smaller airports.

Hi Michael,

Version 10.6 has been released; from the Release Notes I quote: 

"The internal airport database that contained hard-coded the latitudes and longitudes of about 4200 airports is now constructed by reading – at start up-  an external file airports.txt from the subfolder airport_data. This file contains almost all 9900 airports of P3Dv4.1. In the unlikely case that you encounter an airport that is not recognized, you can add that airport to the file yourself. There is no need to keep the alphabetical ordening."

This will do for the moment, I think.
