May 28, 20188 yr Hello, recently I performed a clean Windows install. Quite often, the sim just shuts down without loggin any event. So I have no idea what causes it. It doesn't show the "P3D has stopped working" message. It just shuts down as if I pressed ALT+F4 or something. I'm thinking if it could be because of my 8 GB RAM. Also the HDD is performing very badly, often being at 100 %, bottlenecking the PC. I usually complete the first flight with no trouble, often even the second. But I don't think that I was able to finish 3 consequent flights yet. Add-ons: FSLabs A320, ORBX Global, AS4+ASCA, FSGlobal Next Generation, ChasePlane, GSX, FSUIPC, TerraFlora and payware airports of course (Aerosoft Heathrow, Aerosoft Prague for example). Rig in the signature. Right now it happened on a turn-around in Prague (LHR->PRG->LHR) when I was boarding the passengers in Prague, all systems were already set up. Very frustrating, as I'm following real world schedules and now I have to set everything up again. Any ideas please? Thanks very much. May 28, 20188 yr Commercial Member Try deleting your Shaders AND your Prepared.cfg file (both are rebuilt at the next startup). This solved this type of problem for 5 people that I work with. Best wishes. Dave Hodges System Specs: I9-13900KF, NVIDIA 4070TI, Quest 3, Multiple Displays, Lots of TERRIFIC friends, 3 cats, and a wonderfully stubborn wife.

I did a defrag 3 days ago, no help. Is there any way that I could test its functionality? 🙂 I'm planning on buying 1 TB SSD anyways, but until then, I'd really like it to work. Most drive manufacturers offer free tools on their website. Alan

May 28, 20188 yr Go to their website and download the Lifeguard tool. It has a utility to scan and repair the hard drive if it has bad sectors, and can tell you about the drives health. It will only work for Western Digital hard drives. Alan
