ATC Disabled no electric

Recommended Posts

Hi Pilots

I'm getting this message, "ATC Disabled No electric" for all planes; so I cannot communicate with ATC. I've tried the below 3 things BUT my problem remains!

  1. I have started the planes, i.e. power on AND checked I've switched on the Avionics switches.
  2. I've gone to the top menu/Vehicles/Failures/ and clicked RESET ALL
  3. I've looked around for any obvious fuse that's OFF; none found.

Somewhere in the past I think I've seen this message before and obviously got past it but I cannot remember how …..age,hmmm …...

So I remain optimistic that this is solvable.

Any ideas please (I'm not IT savvy, don't be afraid of being really pedestrian with me)

In advance,

Rod

I believe you have to make sure the Alternator switch is on along with the battery switch being on.  In other words, turn on the battery switch and then make sure to turn the alternator switch on too.

Try re-installing simconnect from the resist folder in p3d folder, use the sp2 version. Then load into p3d default scenario. Atc should be working now then load into whichever scenario you want to do.

Happened to me the other day too. Had to delete the P3D config file and reload sim. All was fine again after that, other than having to reset general parameters.

Hi Pivot and Pilots

now that looks like a good'un! THANK YOU PIVOT

Just before I pull the trigger, can I just double check our terms. I'm low tech so I need to check. Don't worry about being crystal clear and step by step with me; I wont be offended.

1. the P3D config file to delete.  Is this the Prep3D.cfg in

Users/AppData/Roaming/LockheedMartin/Prep3Dv4  ?

2. when you say "reload the sim" do I just simply start P3D (from its icon on my desktop) OR do you mean more than this?

3. "reset general parameters" do you mean in game Top Menu/Options/General/etc? OR are there other parameters and where?

If I cant do any harm, I'm looking forward to giving this a shot.

10/4 Rod;

1 - Yes

2 - Yes

3 - Yes

You should be good to go after that. Good luck.

Also, I always start with the default F22 Scenario then move to another airport/aircraft.

Hi Pivot,

"Gloster Tower, Piper N6229P IFR to Birmingham, ready to copy"

You're a star; YOU'VE SOLVED IT! THANK YOU VERY MUCH PIVOT,

Why did the problem happen? If it's a P3DV4.2 bug, maybe it'll show itself again. But then I'm ready with the fix you've taught me.

Have fun!

Rod
