Fill me in while I was away... any true freight haulers to fly now?

Featured Replies

Im looking for some freight haulers with lots of features and a detailed VC. I see Miltons great team came out with a new Aero Commander, but no freight version. Thats OK, Still enjoy his other models...I would love a C99, Falcon 20C, C208 more detailed than the feelthere model, maybe even a PA28 in an Ameriflight livery, Learjet 25/35, Shorts 360/330, 1900C more detailed than the PMDG model, etc.I took some time off from flying but am still disappointed I cannot be a true freight dawg, 99.99% of the detailed airplanes that are out there or coming out just concentrate on passenger versions. Where can a freight dawg get some love? Thanks!

pmdg 747 freighter is your best bet now for what you want. not sure if their passenger version is required tho.

I just took 7 tons of equipment up to Juneau Alaska from Seattle in my Air Contractors C-130. :) You can open the back door and look out! LOL.Edit: Captain Sim C-130.Bob....

Dreamfleets 727 has a freaight version. Not sure from your post on what size aircraft you are most interested in. PSS 777 has a Long Range Freighter and looks like there soon to be released 757 also has a freight version included.

Aerosoft came out with a Beech 18 a few months back that has a cargo version. Looks nice but it is nothing fancy.

Thanks all for the responses. The md-80 was never a freighter, I was hoping someone would make a dc-9 freighter version with a clickable VC. -10 -15 -30 variants so I can fly for ameristar, abx air.I enjoyed the dreamfleet 727, especially the new winglets, but was hoping they did a super 27 w/o winglets. Oh well.Someone must be working on a C99 and a Learjet 25/35 (I think Flight1 was working on a lear probably for FSX though)I enjoyed the pmdg 744F but was really disappointed at how much it killed my framerates. I havent touched FS9 since then. I waited for years to fly that beauty only to be disappointed that I could never nail down the crashes and horrible frames I was getting. I have given up though, and dont plan to touch flightsim until FSX. Hopefully the 744F will perform better then! But sometimes I like to fly slower. I was hoping Carenado would follow the awesome Cessna 206 cargo variant with maybe a c208

Oh and one more thing, I wish the PMDG 744F had the older style cockpit as an option, too. Maybe in the FSX update?

Somehow I don't think that will happen, since I think it was terribly lots of work for PMDG. Creating another cockpit from scratch, that would put them totally back on the development of A320 and MD-11.

well we aren't looking at the a230 for maybe another 2 years so you never know what they will come up with in the meantime... especially since they are likely to charge for any fsx updates, there could be some new features added.
