navigation charts of europe in gtn 750

Featured Replies

Hello, I would like to know how you can view navigation charts from Europe and the rest of the world except for the USA that already has them in the GTN 750. Thanks

Hi Jirs,

The 'charts' are in a special format in the 'data' folder (typically "C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Trainers\Databases\fc_tpc" with trainer v6.41).

They are more or less bitmap files (this part is easy) but they are reference from an 'index' file which is encoded in some sort (this part is harder). Adding custom charts shouldn't be impossible at all, but this would require building a new index file appropriately, and there is no 'tool' for this yet that I know of.

However, any real world DB subscription includes the charts that goes with it.
