I am not sure weather the Shaders will change automatically over time.

It might be that they can be changed in realtime and then they stay that way....

Don't worry, I bought it as well. It heard it will be re-released for P3Dv5. v4 will be history soon anyway. 😀

Not to forget, HD Airports was promoted as the greatest thing mankind ever saw on release as well.

I still like their clouds, and that's been their strength since I can think back, but I dislike their over-hyping.

I have to say, they hyped that big time.  I was super amped for HD Airports.  I remember really wanting to fly from TelAviv and never doing so because of no available third party scenery for it.  So I decided HD Airports would be the ideal way to spruce it all up and make it a departure airport worth setting off from.

I'm seriously annoyed by HD airports. Shortly after release, over a year ago?, P3D updated. They said they were "looking into it", they said they were "fixing it and adding things"... The program is STILL not updated and they've gone on to make 3 or 4 different addons since then.

I get that they need a revenue stream, but take care of your customers and build brand loyalty. At this point, for all of their products, I'm not buying anything.

I pretty much agree with the sentiment on here.  I felt burned when skyforce came out.  That is not a good sign when your company can now be described as "over hyping while under delivering".

Also remember with HD airports they promised:

"Enhanced Add-On Airport Packs

These add-on Airport Packs will be FREE to all REX Worldwide Airport customers!

There are a number of airports within the simulator that were originally developed containing custom terminal graphics. Although these airports will now globally benefit from REX Worldwide Airports HD, some terminal textures will not be affected. We are re-developing these airports with proper detail and customized textures throughout, and as they become available we will update this area."

This post has us at REX very concerned.  It appears there is a consensus that we overhype our products.  Or at least a misunderstanding about the products as a whole.

That might all be true, yet what is telling is that many posters on here, who are customers of Rex products, are sharing very similar complaints.

Rex would do well to listen to these and do something to rectify the poor image that they have created in the eyes of the consumer.

Telling? Any thread where people can have a moan, then see someone else doing it, will always devolve into a big soapbox. Every. Single Time.

REX has even provided an appropriate venue for people to go air their criticism in this very thread, but I will bet you any money, that most of you will quickly gloss over it and then be ready for the next barrage of complaints, when a thread that is remotely related to REX pops up. You just want to have a moan, not actually change anything.
