P3D 4.2.21 Hung on Splash Screen

Recommended Posts

Hello!

As the title says, I am having some startup hangs on P3Dv4. I have reinstalled my P3D client and Content, delete the Scenery.cfg, Prepar3D.cfg. This problem occurred after I Alt-F4'd P3D while in fullscreen (I guess? The AVSIM Crash To -Desktop PDF stated this.) I also moved the dll.xml to my desktop and still did not resolve my issue. I tried everything under the Startup Hang Section in the AVSIM CTD PDF. I will list my Specs and Add-Ons Below.

Thanks for the help!

How did you determine it was the FSLabs Spotlights program causing the startup hangs?  There are many modules that load at startup.  It could be any of them.

When I uninstall Spotlights, my game starts up normally.

Absolutely means nothing.  If the product was not installed properly, that could cause the issue too.  P3DV4 has addon.xml's now and that xml may not be encoded properly or installed properly.  So many possibilities.  I checked the FSLabs site and no one else is having this issue.
