Drzewiecki Design Washington X P3Dv4 Performance Insights?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I have request from users of this Scenery.  How is the performance in P3Dv4? I also have Flightbeam KIAD, and I want to fly my PMDG birds from KDCA?

I have tried their demo a while back, but I can't remember the performance and since this scenery is on sale, I am contemplating on buying the license.

Just do not want a bad experience after buying it.

Thanks

absolutely fine.  No performance hit I have seen.  DC airspace is jammed so limiting AI is key.

ground textures are less than stellar outside the airport grounds but thats DD's typical layout.

don't forget to land a helo on the South Lawn!

It's very good, without performance issues on my system.

I don't understand why DD modeled so much inside buildings.  They did the same with the Seattle scenery... seems a bit overboard, and given that it's PhotoReal it must take a little toll on the frame rate but honestly I don't see it.

To give credit where credit is due... the DD New York scenery didn't run well for me, but the Miami and Seattle scenery packages are terrific.

Best wishes!

I have DD Washington and FlightBeam IAD and get very good performance form both.  My scenery preferences are also revolve around my PMDG fleets.  I'll try to post a video when I get home.

See my comments above.  Plus, earlier today, I took off in the SR22 from DD KDCA and Wash X and flew to FlightBeam KIAD and then around the DC area.  I had Wash X and MSE Virginia activated.  Here are the FSUIPC results:

Minimum frame rate was 17.9 fps, Maximum was 47.9 fps
Average frame rate for running time of 510 secs = 33.5 fps
Maximum AI traffic for session was 263 aircraft
Memory managed: 125 Allocs, 124 Freed

Performance is very good, especially given how dense the scenery is in the area.

Here is a quick video.  My settings are pretty much maxed out, except that I don't need anti-aliasing since I'm using a 4K monitor and resolution.  My other add-ons are GSX, PTA, UTL, and ActiveSky.

If that is "pretty much maxed out"😄, then I must have SUPER DUPPER - EXTREMELY ULTRA - WAY PAST THE RIGHT settings! 🤯

Thank you everyone for the excellent feedback.

@Luis_KMIA what shaders are you using? Your 737 cockpit looks so much nicer
