Improvement suggestions for taxi maintenance

Recommended Posts

I've played quite a bit with taxi maintenance, and come up with some improvement suggestions. I'd like to hear your opinion, Dave!

1. Multi-clicking and renaming taxiways, several segments a time.

2. Clicking the taxiways is tedious work, since they are so narrow and the clickable region so small. Zooming doesn't really help. Could you make the selection easier by making the taxiways wider?

3. Route to Runway sometimes hangs up the whole program. This happened once today. Restarted, with same parameters, and it worked like a charm.

4. Showing the route in screen is great, but what about also listing the taxi instructions textually? This way I could check that there are no weird runway names in the path (some airports are really screwed up, all taxiway names are wrong).

5. Creating new taxi path is a bit cumbersome, since it needs to be done segment by segment, by choosing the original and dest points from a dropdown menu. Implementing a multiclick feature for this, so I could draw a multiline, would also be really really helpful.

Is there a setting that will automatically capture Taxi/Gate information from simulator as soon as I file a plan or do I need to Gateway/Taxi  maint and use the Import Scenery?
