speech assistant empty

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Not sure what went wrong but had to recently reinstall EVERYTHING for v4.3.  Anyway whenever I fire up P2A, import a flightplan (from simbrief), connect, validate and file, my speech assistant has no entries to select no matter what I select from the drop down menues and no matter what frequency I am on (yes the frequency changes correctly).

Show In-Line Grammar Help is selected.  I can press the PTT button (turns green) and say 'say altimeter' and the program responds correctly.  Its just that I have no entries in the speech assistant window.

I am using P3D v4.3 (with various addons) and P2A 2.5.0.4 x64 R3

Thanks for the update.

I suspect the Grammar Helper file was corrupted or missing and that was fixed when you reinstalled.

I have the same problem. I’m still testing the trial version and I have x-plane 11 & windows 10. I’m very satisfied with pilot2atc, but I don’t know how make it speech assistant (and grammar helper) work. Is the same problem that indicates Hilkiah. For me is very important, because I’m new in flight simulation, and I don’t know the correct ATC language. All other components of the program works fine, including speech recongition. This afternoon I’ll try to reinstall P2A.

I was found the solution. The problem was that my user in my computer was not an administration user. I read that P2A install grammarhelper file in the administration account, and if the user when is installing the program is a "standard" user, It can't read the grammarhelper file. I was uninstall P2A, change my type of user to "administrator", reinstall P2A and the grammar helper, and speech assistant works fine.
