Disable Windows Defender AV

Hi all,,

Without starting a flame war with the antivirus fan club group, is it possible to disable/shut off Windows Defender, as part of the Simstarter steps when firing up P3D??

thanks for any help you can provide,

Hi Michael,

I never tried und in general it should be possible. Search for "PowerShell" you might find more details.

Run PowerShell as Admin and type:

Set-MpPreference -DisableRealtimeMonitoring $true

to re-enable type:

Set-MpPreference -DisableRealtimeMonitoring $false
