Recent Simbrief issue

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Weird issues I'm getting with Simbrief recently...

The flight plan created is made of several waypoints but when loading the generated FSX/P3D flight plan format in the sim - it is consisted of totally different waypoints.

I've checked the .pln text file and it does include the correct waypoints but for some reason the sim translates it different!

Appreciate any help,

Shom

Is your Airac the same in the plane and in Simbrief.

Hi @Skywolf,

The issue is not plane related because the waypoint contradiction shows up already in the main P3D screen when loading the saved flight plan (before even choosing an aircraft)

If you are using P3Dv4.3, this is unfortunately a new bug, it has nothing to do with Simbrief or any other planner will experience the same issue. When you load your saved flight plan into P3Dv4.3, it will create its own plan instead... you need to reload your saved plan immediately and it will come overwriting P3D’s plan. LM is aware of this bug.

Good to know! Just please explain what you mean when you say I need to reload my saved plan immediately?

Load your flight plan as usual, P3D will create its own (different from yours most likely), then ignore this plan and without cancelling anything, simply press load and reload again your plan, it will overwrite the previous one.

But simbrief lets you save the flight plan directly into the p3d plan folder and in my case, directly in to the a320 plan folder. But when I upload the plan in the fslabs MCDU, it is no longer the same as what Simbrief shows. How can p3d alter the saved fls a320 plan?

What do you mean exactly, do you load your flight plan into your Airbus by typing the Simbrief saved flight plan code such as EGLLEHAM01?

This is what I do too and if I did not load the correct saved flight plan in P3D, my flight plan will be the wrong one in my bus.

Simbrief downloader lets you save different flight plan formats into the correct locations. In my case for ex. P3D flightplan format and FSLABS A320 format (in the AOCService)

So how can P3D modify what simbrief saved directly in the AOCService map and is inserted by me in the airbus MCDU, because that flight plan doesn't correspond anymore with the the printout that simbrief offers.

Thanks for clarifying, I don’t use AOC for the A320, I simply load the flight plan into the FMGS from P3D as I mentioned, so I cannot comment on that. I suggest you either contact Simbrief and/or FSLabs, I was only referring to the known new vers. 4,3 bug that was highlighted on P3D forum.
