Is there any reason for having more than 16 gb of ram?  I notice that quite a number of folk do according to there specs but on my system I rarely seem to use much more than 8 gb.  Thanks

Nope... not unless you are using your PC for an application that requires lots of RAM. For the sim and gaming 16 is plenty.

Yeah, before using this '"TEXTURE_SIZE_EXP=10"'  I could get by on just 8GBs of ram. Even with the 1024 terrain texturs I've never come close to blowing past 16Gs

If you fly in DCS 32GB will allow you to max out in their sandbox.
