Need some help on updating to 2.62 please!!!

Recommended Posts

Hello Avsim,

I got a prompt to update PTA to the new 2.62 version this afternoon to work with my recently updated P3D and stupidly I clicked no without reading (force of habit i guess.) The only problem is after many restarts i cannot seem to trigger the prompt again and the option to restore original P3D shaders is greyed out so an uninstall of the product would be a headache for my entire simulator and it would mess my default shaders up.

Please Help...

Thanks,

Cyaniide

Hi there,

Quickest way is to reinstall the CLIENT module only of Prepar3D. It wont uninstall any of your addons, it will just reset the shaders to the original ones.

Thanks.

Logon to your account at https://www.simtweaks.com/home

Under "My Orders" you will see PTA for Prepar3D v4 then click view on the right and you will see a link to download your product.

It just says that my activation code is wrong is this because i still have the old version installed? Is there not any way to re-trigger the prompt?

Delete the settings.res file in the same folder and then re run PTA if you want to re trigger the prompt.

You need to reinstall the client module. Once you’ve done that, take a copy of the ShadersHSLS folder in P3D then should things not work, you can just restore them by copying them back.

Also, once you’ve done that please make sure PTA is running as admin. Right click > Run as Administrator
