FSX AC looses stability

Recommended Posts

I recently did a clean install of FSX Gold and made the necessary tweaks to the fsx.cfg file as recommended.  I've started testing the install with a DC3 Airways DC-3.  Shortly after starting the flight, I seem to loose control of the flight.  Even with the autopilot on, the flight path starts to drift.  After about 5 minutes, the aircraft become uncontrollable.  My previous setup was rock solid.  I sure like some advice on where to look for my current problem.

My other option is to dump a weeks of work and tweaks and opt for FSX-SE (which was recommended by others in this forum before I reinstalled FSX).

Thanks in advance,

Hi John,

Thanks for the suggestion.  I tried the default Beech Baron and it was as squirrely and uncontrollable.  The slightest input for either elevator or aileron on the CH Yoke causes the aircraft to loose control.  I also have CH's Rubber Pedals and Throttle Quad, bot which seem to work properly.   I'm using FSUIPC which I've had great success with in the past but I think I'll disable it and try FSX's built in controls.  If this doesn't work, I''l start over.

I did have a couple of errors loading FSX and the Acceleration Package, but I thought I worked thru them.  Maybe not?

As it stands now, the sim is unusable.
