A Few Static Planes at Airports---All I Want

Recommended Posts

I am using P3D 4.0 on a gaming computer using

Windows 10...

I do not, that I can tell, have any static AI aircraft at

airports or in flights...is there a way to tell about flights?....

All I want is a few static or moving aircraft at airports

in North America that I visit...I do not need AI planes

making flights all over the world...I have my P3D traffic

sliders set to at least 50%...I get nothing...I don't have an

AI traffic programs that I know of....

I have read this blog entry and tried most of the tips

shared there...

Is there any solution other than purchasing Ulitmate Traffic Live?...it is way more

than I need or want...

Thanks for any help...

John H.

Hi BigSky...thanks for the reply...

I forgot to mention that I have this installed...and through

"operator error" didn't think it worked w/o Orbx scenery

installed...but your post made me read manual again...

FTX Central says it's installed correctly....I see the FTX AI

planes in my Airplanes folder..in FTX Central I have it full

on and I think my Scenery/World/scenery reflects that....

Still no planes on ground at KBOS...any thoughts?

I know I should ask over at Orbx and I will if you have no

advice...sometimes they are slow..

Thanks, John H.

The ORBX NA AI would only include traffic within the original FTX regions of the West Coast of NA afaik.

Many sceneries come with optional static AI - Orbx and UK2000 to name a couple.

Although I agree that there has to be a market for a good looking static AI product that simply fills up the gates at airports of your choice without taxiing around or taking off.

Yes! I would love such a product - AI has this annoying habit of cutting in on my approach or blocking a taxiway (in my virtual world!). I always install the maximum static aircraft available in any airport scenery I purchase, but what would be really great is an AI product that simply loads up AI at gates worldwide with the local carriers.

John, you need to translate this website http://www.g-daehling.de/fs2004/modules.php?name=Content&pid=13

With this tool you can create your own AI traffic between the aiports you want. Maybe that is what you are looking for. My traffic slider is at 1 percent using this tool.

1. buy WAMA tool from simmarket (6$)

2. using that you can spawn static fleet anywhere..

3. get FAIB static plane models for free

4. use WAMA to populate your airports with low polygon FAIB aircraft

5. i just did it for my home town airport which didnt have AI

This is excellent.

But it would great if there would a installer of sort which would scan all the airport files in the sim and place AI models at gates.  Based on Heavy, Large etc.  I want full blown automatic way for this too.

Nonetheless, very cool suggestion vin747.  Kudos

This is THE very reason I bought the Ideal Flight program.

Ideal Flight Professional will pretty much do exactly what you ask.

It adds tons of planes to any airport. Some few will move but most of them stay parked as they are waiting for their time to wake up and take off.

For simply adding static aircraft to a scenario (and keeping your high framerates), you can just use SimDirector to quickly position some aircraft at a given airport (maybe download a BGL library with some more airliners ).

i get the Simdirector part.  What bgl library are you referring to.  Any steps on the library part.  Again, this seems way more manual work than automatic
