REX Worldwide ARPTS HD TO BE released

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I have two questions for the experienced Rex Airports HD please.

1. Can you exclude payware add on airports such as FSDT airports?

2. Can it be easily uninstalled?

Thank you in advance!

Bob

1) It only changes default airport textures. Won’t do anything to payware.

2) yes

Out of curiosity, what does it do to enhanced default airports? So, not the ones with the generic terminal, but something molded to reflect the real thing, such as KORD for example?

Nothing. REX started to do addon packs (free) that would start to replace textures on the enhanced default airports. KSLC was the first and only one so far....

One more question. Are the ORBX world wide enhanced airports affected, not the individual ones such as LOWI? Thank you again!

In point of fact it only affects default airport buildings, ground textures and vehicles, so wherever these are used,

as in many of the ORBX world wide enhanced airports, they will indeed appear.

Depends if custom library objects have been used. If it’s default buildings from the p3d library then yes, you will see the Rex textures.

And  runways and taxiways of course as they are included in Rex package

Will this work with AFCAD updates such as Ray Smith's ?  AFAIK he uses "default" stuff.

Thanks!

It has no affect on the AFCAD for airports you can edit and customise them to your liking, there are some very good default airports in P3Dv4 KDTW , KSTL, LEMD, it will enhance the airports with tugs and vehicles, and runway textures.

Yes. It definitely works on those type of "AFCADS".

Since the original topic, the impending release of the product, has come to pass some time ago, I'm closing this one and putting it into the history books.
