Packs High Flow Simulation

Maurits you absolutely don't need the oxy mask in the simulator and you only have one mouse cursor.... so as far as I know PMDG have simplified the oxygen test to the single button being pressed so that you hear the whizz sound.

I know it's not needed but as a training source i expect stuff to be simulated correctly. It's called 'immersion' :P Plus i'm gonna fly the KLM 747 Sim so I need to know what I'm doing in 3 weeks

Only got a reset/test switch, does this mean the emergency/test selector isn't installed on the PMDG or does you airline not include this feature?

I've never looked at the O2 masks in the Sim.  Reset button on the right. Middle of the mask should be a red button. It's the test button.  You will see no indication that a test is being completed on a synoptic. It's an indication next to the reset button.

Last time I flew the 744, both Reset/Test and Emergency/Test were simulated. This flow works for me;

Oxygen Mask/Regulator/Microphone                                          Check

1. Select FLT interphone

                2. SPKR on

                3. Adjust FLT and SPKR volume

                4. RESET/TEST Lever – Yellow Cross (press & then move mouse away while holding to lock switch on)

                5. EMER/TEST selector – Yellow Cross (press & then move mouse away while holding to lock switch on)

                6. PTT Switch – Verify sound

                7. Release – Flow/Ind Blank (click on either reset or emer switch to release both)

This will result in oxygen flow and also audible feedback that oxygen is flowing. To get around the single mouse pointer you need to click, hold then move cursor away from button/switch before release mouse button. Also, for sound to be heard you need to turn on speaker and mike.

Looks ok now.

Note that NORM is not supposed to be displayed.

What's that weird blue tint on your Standby Instruments and Autobrake Selector?

Okay or my eyes are malfunctioning, or it was a one time bug or something lol

You're cruising at altitude - this is indeed how it should look in 'NORM'.🙂

It's a bumpy cruise... His range-to-altitude arc (aka "green banana") has appeared...
