Contaminated runway

Recommended Posts

I’ve scoured the forum for an answer to my burning inquiry, though the most pertinent and recent one is 2 years of age.

My question: does braking action differ on a contaminated surface from that of a dry one in the NGX?

I’m curious because FSL seems to have modeled it in their 32X series...

(Note: this doesn’t require a snarky response.)

Nope. Contamination doesn't really exist in the sim. Snow accumulates pretty slowly (even in the nastiest of storms), so to develop some sort of accumulation model, you'd need a lot more than what you're given in the sim.

I'm curious as to how they've done it.

Thank you.

Does the same hold true for engine performance?
