4K & AA Help

Recommended Posts

Hello!

So I got a new 4K monitor and for some reason I am still seeing some bad AA across plane. I'm i too picky or is something wrong? Let me know if you guys need anything else.

Well try the Nvidia Control Panel by right clicking on your home screen and clicking Nvidia Control panel, select manage 3D settings and program settings.

I use the same settings in P3D V4.3 and it works fine. I'd stay away from NVI. Let's see your WORLD settings.

My 4K display looks great using 4xMSAA, no NI of course.  Shouldn't you have wide view aspect ratio checked?

Might be a bit of a strain for a 4770k CPU to drive a 1080ti and 4K and so on. However, keep tweaking your sliders to get it to work. Maybe set the two autogen sliders for vegetation and buildings to normal. This will free up your CPU processor a little more.

A lot of folks think wideview distorts a bit.

Weird, 28" 4k should require minimal AA.

Probably not relevant but your NI version 1.9.7.3 is a bit out of date.
I think the latest is about 2.13..

Some of your setting are a bit out.
Power management should be "Maximum Power" where as you have that strange 0x00000005.
Half refresh rate does not work with P3D. If it did you would not have to set that 30 fps limit.

Try changing AA Mode to Application controlled.
