Ultra Long Flights

I’ve been trying P2A out for a few days, and im an old RC4 user. For those of us that fly trans oceanic flights, RC4 had a feature that you could put Comms on autopilot (via the copilot) and leave it alone for several hours. At TOD, the program would pause the sim until you were ready to resume.  That would be a great addition. 

With that in mind, is there a way to pause ATC and resuming it later in the flight? I tried this, and P2A didn’t seem to have any idea where I was, although my AC was displaying properly on the map.  What would really be cool, is to implement CPDLC down the road. I fly internationally, and this is how most comms are performed when out of VHF range.

On a long flight, if you have the co-pilot set to handle radios, it should keep up and be ready to fly when you come back.  No need to pause P2A.

Another option would be to just disconnect P2A for the long haul portion of the flight and then use the recovery process to get P2A to catch up to where your aircraft is.   

1. Be sure the same flight plan is loaded in P2A as in the aircraft FMS
2. Connect to the SIM
3. File the flight plan
4. Find the nearest Center Freq or request a transfer to Center from the nearest Appr, Departure, or Tower frequency
5. Make an initial call - <Call Sign> at FL 430

I got to agree that pause on TOD is a great idea, any chance you can add that to the TODO list?
