How to check if reversers are indeed “green”

Featured Replies

I know this may be a slightly stupid question, but often after landing I hear “spoilers...reversers green” How can I check that reversers are functioning and in this case “green”?

Is this on a payware aircraft?  Check an outside view?

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

Assuming this is the A320 (as that is the Airbus callout) the PM would check the spoiler extension is shown on the lower SD and call 'spoilers' (or "no spoilers" if appropriate of course), then check the upper E/WD - when the reversers are selected you will see REV appear initially in amber on the EPR (or N1) gauges whilst the reversers are in transit. Once they are fully in position REV will turn green, hence the call.

Other types will have similar indications.
