You would be hard pushed to argue with that set-up.  It seems pretty decent - although I'd probably go for an 800w PSU. (if it was my setup)

Be cautious of expectations of running everything on max.  It depends on a number of variables -complexity of aircraft combined with the complexity of the scenery region and airport you are flying into, plus weather.    I doubt you will have a bad experience, but never expect miracles when using every complex addon available at once.

Just wait mate.

The news GPUs (1180) are going to be announced in a couple of days and the new i9 9900k 9700 in september,

Don´t think the price is going to be much higher of what you are planning to invest now but the perfomance probably is.

Cheers

Could try looking for CL14 memory. Probably costs a little more but should be faster.

Even with all that I dont think you'll be able to run true max settings at a satisfactory level. Certainly not when loaded up with addons anyway.

I upgraded to a very similar spec last month and have been very pleased with the results(now use my old pc as a slave to run active sky etc). I doubt it'll run everything on max, but it will certainly been better.

But as someone else said above, Intel + NVidia will be releasing the next line of CPU/GPU in the next month so best waiting a little longer. I wish I'd prob have waited now.

I would also wait for the i9 9900K. 8 cores and estimated 5 GHz. This will be the new P3D king of CPUs - and the best: the IHS is soldered, so more overclocking 😉

Combine it with a 2080 ti...... et voila.

All good advice above on waiting just a bit longer.  As Stefan says above, the 9900k is expected to have a soldered IHS which will definitely improve heat performance.

I believe, based on credible leaks, that the base 2080 (not Ti) will be announced/released(?) on August 20 (just before Gamescom), but estimates are the 2080 Ti won't be till sometime in 2019.  I believe the base 2080 will be a fine GPU for the time-being 🙂  See Rob Ainscough's comments about the RTX-2080 here.

What people have said about the latest forthcoming processors is probably true, they will push P3D faster and you could wait for some new hardware to be released, but frankly with computer hardware this is not news, it is always the case that you can wait and there'll be something new and better out soon. If you waited for that too, you'd never flippin' build anything. Although it is also true that when the latest thing comes out, shortly afterwards, what used to be the latest thing generally drops in price a bit.

Keep in mind too, that when people say stuff like: 'oh, the new super-duper sex-bomb 9000X dilithium processor is out next week, you should get one of those...', since it ain't out yet, they don't have one, they don't know what its compatibility issues might be, or of any flaws it might have which are yet to come to light, they don't know how much it will cost, and if they did have one, they'd be an early adopter, and as a general rule, everyone knows you never buy the mark 1 of anything. The exception being the Mark 1 Mazda MX-5, that's great lol, I have one of those.

The specs you listed are very good and will certainly do the job to your satisfaction, although I would echo what ErichB said about even with the latest super-duper computer, don't expect 300 FPS miracles when throwing every fancy add-on available at P3D and ramming all the options sliders to full throttle. It'll be good, but it can't perform miracles

I agree with Alan. I kept reading wait on the hardware you want to get now. But I never had a powerful pc to run p3d and this would be my first build so I could not wait. Got a 7700 with a 1080 ti and 32 gb of ram last November. Am very happy with what I have. Those with  the best hardware and all the addons have to come down from max sometimes.

The wait for the new 9900k is just a few weeks.  Same for the 1180/2080 GPU.  Absolutely worth the short delay.  Otherwise your new rig is outdated by Thanksgiving and underpowered.   You will be glad you waited.

I have a 6th gen cpu.   Definitely excited about 9th gen.  New GPU is just a bonus.

Wait, the soon is real (as in this month or next month), not 6-12 months out.

Cheers, Rob.

Never skimp on the PSU with an otherwise high-end system. Whilst the Seasonic is a good, basic PSU, for not too much more you could get an 80+ Gold EVGA SuperNOVA G2 650w (or better still for more headroom, 750w) with a 12 year warranty.

Thanks for tips, will adjust this spec.

One more thing, which monitor to choose to get best effects on the new computer? Have limited space so cannot go with anything bigger then 30".
