Can any kind soul give me some help regarding the creation of flap détentes in FSUIPC.

I have read the manual but remain baffled.

Your question is slightly vague and can be interpreted to mean a few things.

Pete Wright (Froogle) created a basic set up video of how to assign buttons and axes with FSUIPC here:

 

If you understand the principle of what hes describing, then assigning a button to control flaps increments is easy - and is specifically covered in this video.
