FlightSim Store issues

Recommended Posts

Hello AVSIM Folks, I have been away from FSX and flight sim in general for a few years due to health and computer issues. Over the past month I have been trying to reinstall all previous FSX (boxed) add ons that were purchased from a variety of vendors. All have been very cooperative and helpful in re-establishing contact with the exception of FlightSim Store. Over the past several weeks, nearly a month, I have sent several emails, Ticket submissions even sending a PM on their FaceBook page. I have even tried calling them from North Carolina, no answer. I have yet to hear ANY reply to to my emails, ticket submissions and PM. When calling the reply I receive is their box is full, call back later. My question is, "Are they still in business?". Have anyone else run into problems with trying to make contact with this company? Do you have any suggestions? I have an OLD account with an old email that is no longer viable and needs to be updated. I would love the ability to have access to all of those Orbix and Carenado add ons that I had purchased previously. Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

FSS May be defunct or close to it. A number of developers have pulled their products because of lack of communication.

Check with Orbx, to see if you can transfer your purchases to the ORBX application.

When ORBX started ORBX Direct for sales there was a process to transfer ORBX licences from FSS to ORBX so that all future updates and purchases were directly from ORBX. You should contact ORBX for advice on how you might transfer licences from FSS to an ORBX account if you have all the information that ORBX need.

Best regards

Correct me if I'm wrong, but with Orbx central, aren't all your Orbx products integrated within the same interface, regardless of where you bought them from? At least that's how it is for me.

Yes but for sure at some point you agreed to transfer your licenses from the flight sim store to your orbx account. I am not sure if that is still working, as FSS don't seems to be active anymore.

For sure his purchases don't pop up automatically in OrbxDirect... he will have to discuss it with them... I think there is a good chance, he can have his sceneries back...

Fair enough. I'm sure you're right. I don't remember having to do that, but I must have done at some point.
