September 12, 20187 yr FsLabs Concorde X was for FSX and P3D v2/v3 RIP Now, I know FsLabs will have a Concorde X for P3D v4, but now that P3D v4 is out, people probably forgot about the plane. They haven't used it in so long, so it's probably dead by now. I switched to P3D v4 and the only addon I couldn't get was the Concorde. It's sad how the Concorde dies here. By the time FSL Is done with the A318 and A321 with sharklets and satcom, P3D v6 would be out. And, they'll have to completely remake the Concorde for the P3D that's in the future, and it'll probably be done when P3D v8 is out. Goodbye to a legacy. 😥 Edited September 12, 20187 yr by Poppet edited topic to remove dramatic Title and replace with a relevant title
September 12, 20187 yr No, it will always have a market - there still isn't anything like the Concorde. Amazing how many 60s/70s planes still blow the doors off our modern fleet (Concorde / SR-71). Nearly 50 years later... we're flying around at Mach .82 at best commercially. Mark Mark Trainer

September 12, 20187 yr They might aswell concentrate on getting it ready for V5. P3D 4.4 is out soon (apparently) and I cant see there being many more updates to V4 before V5 is out! September 12, 20187 yr Moderator @Aaron Kim, not sure where you're getting your information from. Concorde-X 64-bit is certainly not dead. Development continues as we speak and although no release date has been announced I'm certain it will become available, probably 2019 based on experience. Ray (Cheshire, England). Mark Although I'm still using P3D v3.4 I just love overtaking a modern Boeing or Airbus cruising at Mach 0.82 in an aircraft designed 56 years ago! As far as I know FSL Concorde P3DV4.x is still in development and I'm not aware of any plans to suggest it was cancelled. As far as release, late 2018 or early 2019 would seem like a good "guess" ... they have all the assets (textures, images, etc.) from the prior version that could be leveraged (some of it) and the fortunately the Concorde is less complex systems in terms of having to code complex PFD/MFD as they don't exist in the Concorde, however there is some work in fuel/engine management ... here's a very good video of the Concorde cockpit: I'm gonna be more optimistic about it's release and I'm sure it'll leverage what P3D V4.x offers ... you'll have a much better Concorde experience in P3D ... it's an iconic aircraft and I'm certain it will sell well. Cheers, Rob.
September 12, 20187 yr Moderator Watching that video has got me salivating at the quality of the instruments, gauges and switches and a taste of what we can expect in a 64-bit Concorde. September 12, 20187 yr Author im sucking a 2% korean peach juice can as i read this But ok i guess you're all right, in fact I have the manual sitting right next to me waiting to be used. It's a shame if I had to waste paper...
September 13, 20187 yr Yeah, that video...nice how clean they kept the cockpit, it looked awesome! What a great aircraft. I've seen a few SR-71s at museums but they all had their engines removed, I presume the Air Force is hanging on to those somewhere special since there has been little in the "raw brute thrust" engine department lately. Park those engines so they're ready to go should the need emerge. It would be a FS purchase I'd definitely consider, as stated in a previous post it's a classic and nothing in the civilian market has beat it in nearly 60 years. Today, in such an economy driven market folks rather travel at Mach 8.1 and put up with a longer flight instead of paying the premium for Mach 2.0. I get it, but you'd think with all the Wall Street folks making bank that there might be a renewed interest in something like this. In the Concorde videos I've seen on YouTube, it wasn't just about speed, but also about luxury, service, champagne, and good food.
