Blurry Texture P3D v4.3

Hi

i need some help with blurry textures.

So, i have supersmooth experience with 4k@30hz using unlimited /vsync with triplebuffering. This combo is zero stutter for me, but unfortunatly i have blurry textures very often. I tried locking fps to 30,31,32,33 internally and by msiafterburner, with and without vsync/tb - all these settings provide stutter for me and just a little change for textures (more crisp). Its very strange that my cpu/gpu/vram/ramm usage at vsync/unlimited oscilating 50-70% max and still there are blurry textures. How to play supersmooth like this with crips textures ?:)

My config: i5 4690k@4.4ghz g.skill16gb ddr3 2400mhz Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX1070 Asus Z97AR Samsung Evo240SSD Samsung 28E590D 4k@30hz. Win10Pro

Addons: orbx global,europe,vector (only main highways, beaches and some other little things),trees, tomatoshade+reshade, as16+asca, freemesh all regions. Aerosoft a320, pmdg 737, 747

Well, all your stuff looks good except for one thing.  If your graphics card has 8GB of DDR5 as recommended by Lockheed Martin, then why do you run your settings at 2048?  You have the capability of running 4096.  Also with P3D your suppose to open up the frame rate, not lock it down.  Put your slider to max on the frame rate.  This isn't FSX so use what they have given you. They even tell you so on their web site.  If you treat your P3D like FSX you will get blurries, stutters, combos of both or excessive lag time on the video card.

There are some that will tell you otherwise.  So be it.  But try opening up your card to the full graphics capability and you may (MAY) see performance boost.

 

PS- looking over your data info.  You have most everything clamped down.  Open up your Tesslation to max.  Your Texture and mesh is way to clamped. open them up.  If you look at your Orbx scenery PDF files they tell you where to set those sliders.   yours are way to LEFT>  Get them RIGHT.  You have the equipment,   Use it.

my frame rate is set to unlimited with vsync and tb with 4k/30hz monitor and my problem is blurry textures. When i set my screen to 60hz with unlimited and tb stuttering is terrible - the same with locking fps anyway - external or internal. I tried go up and maxed tesselation ,mesh,  and 4k res textures  but it didnt helped for blurries. My question is - how can i play with unlimited, vsync and tb (super smooth) without blurry testures ? Your suggestions only hit the vram to 6gb but blurries still exist. Thanks anyway for Your response

Rename your Prepar3d.cfg file and let P3D build a new one with default settings; Delete your shaders. Use the default as a starting point. Your goal is to get your settings balanced so you can run the LOWEST FPS with the SMOOTHEST performance. On many systems that is between 20 & 30.

Pushing all your sliders to the right and running unlimited on your system will make it a mess - you don't have the horsepower to run that.

If you are running a 30hz monitor your best bet is to run lock at 20 to 30 fps.

Just because you can move the sliders full right and run unlimited does not mean that you should - not if you want a smooth experience anyway. Your system will tell you when it's happy.

i tried new cfg - it was the first thing to do 🙂 default shaders tested, tomatoshade isnt a problem here.  Never fly with sliders full to the right - see my p3d cfg above - with this settings is very smooth but textures are blurry. It is something with unlimited framerate i think. Why locking internally/externally makes my p3d to stutter as hell ? and how to locking 20-30 like You say if everything besides unlimited stutters  ? locking internally/externallly 20,25,30,31,33 with vsync and tb=stutter and the same without vsync and tb.

You are using  Uimited + Vsync on + TB on + 30 hrtz. That is a very good base.

Myself I use the above , but with 25 hrtz  and I use FSPS Dynamic.

FSPS Dynamic dynamically changes your FFTF value. A low value at a detailed airport for max fps and a higher value when flying for better terrain loading to prevent blurries...

The reason for the question is because I'm not actual sure how VR works in terms of benefitting from tweaks. I know Nvidia Inspector adjustments get bypassed so I'm not sure if anything else gets bypassed from within the CFG file. What would I set the FSPS FPS range to? For example in sim I currently have FPS to unlimited with Vsync on and the 4K TV is set to 25hz but in VR I think this all gets bypassed.

I tried fftf 0.8 to reduce blurries but its still three. No matter what i do i see blurries.

Set all sliders to the left and start working up till you see blurries

Then slightly less detail to keel everything sharp.

That value needs to change. Mine is =150 for a GTX 1070 card like you and it works very well.

I have suffered blurry issue for long time..

Many tweaks for p3d.cfg I have tried but nothing changed.

After I updated my PC hardware it remains.

One thing I found the solution for this is just reset your NVIDIA setting to default.

If you didnt try, change to default. Maybe.. will be solved :)

Or update to v4.4. Props to LM for fixing the problem.
