Not a plane, so it wouldn't be in SimObjects/Airplanes

Glad people have it on the mind though!

On a serious note, it's about bloody time we got that Woodpecker.

You've been blaming insufficient technology for ages, but now with P3D 4 being mainstream, there's really no delaying it any more.

Besides that, yeah. New NG/Max. The 787. It's all natural order of things really.

I just wish somebody, anybody, would do a proper bizjet. And I'm not talking about the little toys either.

But in the meantime I'd settle for a BBJ version of the PMDG 737 (with fuel tanks).

I'm expecting this will come with the NG3.

PMDG have said they'll update the NGX into the NG3 so like someone mentioned above, I think the new package will have a lot more airframe options (much more of an encompassing package like the 744 currently is) and this hopefully will include the ERs and BBJs with the extra fuel tank options. That'd be just lovely.

Wish they'd hurry up and bloody announce a roadmap though, it's poor showing from PMDG to be so quiet. Just lay the roadmap out for us!

Well, I know that Carenado Citations are quite good for that category, but it's not the same quality as PMDG, but it can do the jobs. As for the NGX, there is a version BBJ as you mention, but I think it's more a livery change than a real separate model like the QOTSII with 400D-400M-400C and stuff like that. In the NG3, I think it'll be like that, but the MAX has really a good range (can go coast to coast in the states) and even JFK-LHR... but we can still hopes for a Global 6500 or others Bombardier plane since they are quite specialised in that market

Most likely the next aircraft is the B737 and then bring the B777 to the B744 standards.

Hopefully the next new aircraft will be the B767.  It's a great aircraft that is still in production with Boeing and there is lots of good data available.

For personal reasons I would like to see the B707.  🙂

Yep,

After 747-8 release I believe that they are working on implementing performance on -8 as well as putting EFB on 777 and after that NG3 and maybe 787

707 too old most of us haven't even seen the aircraft in RL yet alone fly on her.

787 for the win

QW might be good, but it ain't excellent and with PMDG standard.

haha - nah. I refuse to fly Cirrus. The way the pilots/instructors talk about them, it's almost like they think you need a PhD to fly one. No thanks. There's plenty out there more complicated and fun to fly without an intensive checkout of crap I already know...

For me what I'll be happy with will be a 787 or A350, at least one of the new Ultra Long range aircraft others than the 777-200LR... But I would also be amazed if they do a medium haul plane like the CSeries or Embraer E2-190/195... but NG3 has been announced so I believe it will work fine... But a Pilatus PC12 or Saab planes would also be real nice, anything that would be medium hauls and ultra long haul would be my next favorite 🙂

So what are the odds of correct cockpit geometry for the NG3?

Kyle,

You do realize that real pilots fly/flew "Bird Dogs".  🙂

I've got a couple of buddies that own Cirrus' and they swear by them (not at). 🙂

Grace and Peace,

Yeah. They look interesting, but to me, the group oozes of "this is the biggest, fastest plane that I'm going to have the opportunity to fly, so I'm going to lavish praise on it in order to soothe my insecurities about not going any further." That's obviously a very broad brush stroke, but that's the impression that I get. It's a faster, fixed gear, glass panel plane...yet for some reason, you need a special Cirrus training program in order to satisfy most checkout requirements.

No thanks...

If I'm spending that much to fly in something, I'll spend that much to fly in back and have alcoholic drinks handed to me while the work is done for me.

If it ever gets to a point where that part of the GA community realizes they aren't as special as they claim...maybe. Otherwise, I'll continue to pass. I get paid to fly more complex, faster, funner (I know that's not a word) stuff anyway.
