Hello, just a quick question:

Is it possible to have both the digital and the analog clock shown in the flightdeck? Older 777's that get a software upgrade like f.e Austrian's 777 have both types installed.

I would be surprised if they don’t eventually remove the physical clock.

The whole benefit of the very expensive Boeing/Honeywell AIMS-2 upgrade (for older AIMS-1 equipped B777s) is to remove line replaceable units/items. 

Mainting two software clocks is a lot cheaper than maninting two physical clocks.

I am sure Austrian will not have any problems sourcing replacement parts for their B777 clocks, thanks to all the feedstock from current  -200 and -300 teardowns. Regardless it would be a lot more cost effective in the long run to simply remove them altogether.
