Thank you.  Today I took this same bird and flew basic VFR without GPS...  on a cross country in MVFR weather (Wx similar to the shots but lower and more broken - overcast).  Lots of times I was only 1000 AGL due to clouds so it made spotting landmarks difficult.  (For example the shape of a lake is easier to see from high up).  But it was one of the best flights I've done in a long long time.  I didn't snap any pics because I was just enjoying the view from the cockpit.  I did use sectional charts off skyvector and my compass.  Suprisingly I didn't have many issues getting to the airports I wanted to get to.

If you're looking for a simple plane to joyride in, this is the one.  It does about 200 kias if you push the engine....  maybe 180 kias for a reserved power setting.  There is only one COMM radio... no transponder or VOR gauge.... and the avionics is all metric hehe.  The sounds are excellent (especially at idle WOW), and the handling is superb.  Landings are difficult as the spring landing gear help you "bounce" often.  I would highly recommend this addon.

Here is the addon company (they have some other interesting little birds too): http://www.a1r-db.com/
