747-8 display map on ND

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Hope someone can help me but I am not able to show the airport on the ND.

I have read the EFB manual, created the DB for the first time.

When I am on an airfield I zoom in on the airfield like 1.0, but I never see a map...

What am I missing here? Or maybe point me in some direction as I am totally clueless now...

ooh yes, btw VIDEO does not work on FSX - EFB ?

kind regards

Have you pressed the ARPT switch on the EFIS panel to display airports on the ND? It then should show the ICAO code of the airport you are on boxed in the upper right corner of the ND when it is displaying the airport map.

Yeah, this is something that's new with the mapping that might trip people up:

IN map range:

First press - ARPT display + map; Second press - ARPT display (as it was before you got the -8 ); Third press - off.

OUT OF map range:

First press - ARPT display (as it was before you got the -8 ); Second press - off.

No it is only a P3D feature (there are technical reasons for not being implemented in FSX)

Also, if you press the CTR button, you get a nice, centralised view 😉
