acquisto software nuovo Boeing 747-400

Salve a tutti, ho letto che per installare il nuovo softuare non bisogna disinstallare la licenza per poi procedere all’installazione del nuovo softtware ecc.ecc.

Nel mio caso che ho acquistato circa 10 anni fa il 747-400 X “Queen of the Skies” non direttamente da PMDG (ho un CD con la key  di registration) ma da altro sito poi successivamente da PMDG ho acquistato l’extention  del 747-8 con l’installazione del nuovo 747-400 V3 “Queen Of The Skies II” come devo procedere senza creare problemi? Grazie per le Vs risposte e cordialissimi saluti. Angelorosa.

Excuse the use of English, as my Italian is...well...awful, apart from saying "auguri" and "ciao" and most frequently "cin cin" or "saluti."

The new -8 requires the new 747-400, and not the one from 10 years ago, unfortunately.

Scusate ma l’inglese riportato su quanto scritto in italiano è frutto del traduttore simultaneo installato sul PC, traduttore che purtroppo non è molto affidabile.

Come gia detto, sfortunatamente, la tua licenza non è per la versione del 747-400 v3 Queen of the Skies II .

Per poter installare l'estensione PMDG 747-8 Queen of the Skies II Expansion Pack dovresti comprare anche la base menzionata.

Stai attento a quale piattaforma compri, FSX e FSX-Steam edition sono uguali metre Prepar3d è un'altro simulatore.

Su questo forum richiedono la firma in calce.

The OP, who speaks only Italian, was trying to install the -8 in conjunction with the original FSX QOTS “X” from 10 years ago.  The other fellow stepped in to tell him that he will have to buy the V3 747-400 first.

Believe it or not, even with Google Translate, I've had it come up with things that made absolutely no sense before, which makes it entirely useless, and also makes it impossible for me to even attempt to help him when I don't even know what the issue is.

I am reasonably fluent in Spanish, and can usually understand the gist of what is being said in written Italian or Portuguese, but that would be of little use in a spoken conversation.

But in this case, Google does give a very accurate translation of the OP’s question and the answer by the other respondent. 

We in the USA tend to have an expectation that Europeans should be fluent in English as well as their native language. Somewhat ironic considering that most Americans know no other language other than English.

In the case of Germans and Scandinavians English fluency (at least in writing) is often a given, but not all Europeans can communicate in English.

One of my coworkers was born in Turkey, grew up in Germany, and moved  here in his thirties. He speaks all three languages fluently, which is admirable.

I know there are some language -specific forums here at Avsim. I don’t know offhand if there is a forum specifically for Italian speakers. I’m certainly not offended if someone poses an occasional question in their native tongue - especially if it is a highly technical query in a vendor support forum. Usually someone who is fluent in both languages will step in to help.

And if Google Translate has problems try deepl. That usually works much better and gives more coherent sentences as a result.

And I don't understand why you jumped down Kevin's throat for telling someone repeatedly to speak english.

If I come into a place where one language is most obviously the main and only form of official communication I don't start asking questions in a completely different language without at least using a standard form of apology for my inaptidude to speak the language everybody else speaks.

It goes like this:

I'm sorry I don't speak english, can anybody help me?

And then I continue in my native language.

The original poster simply wrote away in italian as if it were the most obvious thing that he would be understood. THAT is rude.

Not telling him to speak in english.
