Fiiiiiinally.  It's been a *really* long wait for a good Brussels National scenery...the old Aerosoft one for FSX was pretty underwhelming, even back in its day.

Sure hope they got the Abelag (now Luxaviation) ramp and building right.

Regards

If someone has already installed it, would it be possible to share a screenshot of the ADX file looks like inside ADE?

I won't be able to purchase and install until the weekend and I am curious as to how they set up the afcad with all the modular gate functionality EBBR has...

Thanks!

Well, I bought and installed it and something looks wrong...

I have this :

https://gyazo.com/4f395a07e4ac454cdcf1c28b12dec77d

I installed it antivirus Off and I have all the ORBX bases installed. My P3D is a new installation, just some aircrafts and no freewares.

Any idea about this issue?

Do you have Vector? If so check to ensure that AEC isn't enabled at EBBR.

Run ORBX's FTX Central, and if you have Vector, run the Airport Elevations Correction, and before applying the changes to the sim, make sure AEC's for EBBR is on DISABLED airports list, then apply the changes. That should fix that issue.

.the old Aerosoft one for FSX

Thanks for bring that to our attention, because I did buy that and their FSX Mega Airport Madrdid Barajas, which they are now offering under a SimWings guise as a Professional, and I more or less had stated in a earlier post, that I'd try my best to avoid any more Aerosoft buys.

You have now made my mind up for me.

A "Simwings guise"? It's not a guise... Simwings made the airport and it's published under Aerosoft's name for all I know... and I assume that the older FSX version was also made by Simwings. I don't particularly mind whether or not you have something against Aerosoft, but it's important to note that not everything that Aerosoft sells was made by Aerosoft. A lot of their products are made by third parties and published by Aerosoft. This informaiton is also clearly noted on the relevant product page in the Aerosoft store.

So in this case, using Madrid as a reason not to buy from Aerosoft doesn't make that much sense...

I guess you and I speak English in a different way. If you have no idea what the use of the colloquial word 'guise' is, then I am not here to explain.

I fully accept that SimWings made that Madrid Barajas Professional scenery----after all, I already do have 3 of their Professional products, which I am not too enthused about re: a so-called 'discount' pricing, but that is another mater already covered in a previous post ---but if as you state you assume that the older Brussels FSX was also made by SimWings, and I did buy that, perhaps you'd care to explain why as a former SimWings FSX purchaser for Madrid Barajas, at Aerosoft's online shop, I cannot get the Upgrade for another SImWIngs Madrid Barajas Professional but am expected to pay full price?

Now you'll probably get why I no longer want to buy anything ever again, from Aerosoft!

Well as I said, I have no issue with you deciding whether or not to buy from Aerosoft - that's totally up to you.

Anyway, to me, when you say "developed under the guise of Simwings", makes it sound like Aerosoft developed it but stuck Simwings' name on it. Because that's what a 'guise' is: 'an external form, appearance, or manner of presentation, typically concealing the true nature of something.' Which makes the way you said it sound like some sort of sinister play. So, assuming that 'we do speak English the same way', perhaps you meant to say this differently?

The original Brussels was made by Dream Factory Design, I think (what I said previosuly pertained to FSX Madrid). They also did Stockholm Arlanda around the same time for FS2004, and then FSX. Their last project, I believe, was Rome, though this scenery was not published by Aerosoft (Aerosoft's is by MK-Design).

As for your question about the upgrade price, I have no idea why you can't get it - I got the upgrade price without any problem. Note that you have to insert your old FSX Madrid key code in the 'voucher/serial' box before checkout and then a 20% discount should be automatically applied, at least that's how it worked for me. You might want to write in to Aerosofts support and ask what's up. Unless I don't understand your question?

Did all that. Still €33.23 at checkout.

I won't bother writing to Aerosoft's support as I am now past where I want anything from them, including support!

End of subject.

I agree for the first time a great scenery, wasn't a fan of the dream factory stuff to say the least ...
