747-8 Old Toga sounds in Cockpit

Recommended Posts

Exactly what the Title Says, I was flying with the 748 as polar air with the GE's, and the aircraft had the same toga sound as the 744 in the cockpit, but when I would change view to the outside, it would sound like a totally different airplane. What is wrong?

I don't think Boeing changed the throttle on the -8. The logic behind maybe; but not the actual buttons.

I'm kinda confused here. What are you referring to, specifically?

Servos are still servos, and the pedestal is largely the same, so servos within it will sound pretty similar.

The door closing on an M3 is gonna sound like the door closing on a 330, too.

It seems as if he is referring to the sounds of the engines.

I could be completely wrong though

@Captain KevinExactly what I'm saying. My 744 is out of date, and that might be affecting it. But my 748 is up to date. Maybe the 744 has files that exclude the engine sounds of the 744 from the 748.

Sounds like you need to do a full uninstall then reinstall. Backup though.

This points to permissions issues. Either it isn't being run as an administrator (the OC in general isn't), or something like anti-virus is interfering.

I'm disabling my windows defender and have no other anti virus programs running, and it asks for admin perms when it launches. Now what?

Allow it those permissions.

Kyle,

I'm not sure right now, but hasn't it been a requirement to update the 744 before installing the 748? He wrote that his 744 is out of date..

Not sure what to tell you. The log shows that the updater isn't getting permission to write to your computer, which is a requirement for it to work. Something is preventing it from doing so: AV, download accelerator, improper configuration of some sort...

Doesn't matter. The updater isn't being allowed to create the file on his comp.
