Need help: still framerate drop with new install

Go to YouTube and search for VRM TEMPS X299 and you will see, your CPU and your GPU temps can be fine but if the VRM get to warm it backs the voltage down, when the testers put to the manufactures they would not reply, but 6 months later modified the X299 motherboards with heat pipes or fans.

Other things which can cause this... running out of memory, so Windows directs the use of a page file. 

 

Have tried the last 5 drivers and used DDU to uninstall each time

I have 32 Gb 3200 MHz CL 14 so that should be enough . But I did not check it .

But then a reboot of P3D should help and it doesn’t

what worries me is this 53C at 4.8ghz , my  delidded 7920x hold max 80-85c at 5ghz and 4.8  approx 70c, that normal  for a I9 79XX 

have a EK block with vrm cooling and single 360 rad for the cpu, 

to get my setup to max out at 53c i must turn down the current limit 

have you run CB15 what max temps?

I was unaware W10 would do that.  I feel stupid.  As far as checking voltages I was thinking more along the line of PSU issues.  If u have a DVOM u can back probe your power harness at the GPU.  In theory if your voltage and amperage stays consistent your PSU should be ok.  U could also check your frequency (hertz) to verify the power is clean and stable.  Long shot but easy to check.

With my former LCS the processor sometimes reached 82 degrees Celcius.

Now I use an EKWB 24@ Xtrenme set with push/pull system ( 2x 2 fans ). Temps are way lower now.

I havent 53 when i test it om my bench chiller at 7c colant

The PSU is a Coolermaster stabilized 1200 W ...

That should be more than enough and the cpu / gpu are not throttling down when checking them.

I do have HardwareInfo 64 which is able to record everthing in a spreadsheet.

However I am unable to make conclusions out If the enormeous amount of data...

If I let it run in the background with th 3h flight it might show something. 

Steve W is able to read it and Rob A too.

The package temperature includes the integrated voltage regulator’s leakage currents. The IVR is responsible for providing different voltages to subsystems within the CPU. High overclocks and manual voltage increases can cause the temperature limit to be exceeded unexpectedly. Tools might not be able to reliably capture this effect, which means that the CPU might throttle without any reason that would be visible to the user.

that the info out  from differnt soursers that hw info not  read all cpu throttling , you need a good scope and log to see it.

I am very happy to see the VRM heat sink uses a heat pipe attached to another heat sink for max cooling, so it should be one of the improved versions.

hi  restarting p3d has made no difference you still get low fps your CPU and  gpu temps are ok you have the newer version motherboard you suggested a fresh install of Windows 10 seems  this may be a good idea although a bit of a pain have you checked when your fps start to get low if any new processes have started up in the background as of now only a reboot of PC seems to clear the low fps.
