If one is using any of the nVidia 20xx series GPUs with ray tracing support, you'll want this update as it includes the DX12 extensions for ray tracing.

I've installed 1809 on 3 of my PCs without issue so far.

Cheers, Rob.

EDIT: 1809 did have one small issue, it reset my monitor settings in NCP back to "Default color settings" rather than using nVidia color settings, so making sure you set this back to nVidia with RGB and dynamic range = Full ... if you don't then you may find yourself with washout colors in games/sims.

Same here. I do not entrust MS any more! I do NOT need their 'word-not-allowed' updates.

But not right now, since no game supports ray tracing yet.

They will soon, you need the drivers to be ready and available for all the user base before deploying the games..

Some examples below of upcoming titles with RTX support. (Nvidia RTX is a development platform for rendering graphics that was created by Nvidia, primarily for real-time ray tracing):

It is pseudo/partial ray tracing. Current hardware state doesn't allow for full/real-time ray tracing.
That will take many, many years (quantum computing?)

Well that is a technicality that you are more than welcome to discuss with Nvidia :), RTX is the name of the technology they developed and its being implemented by many upcoming titles.

When I got to the scenario startup at FSDT KLAX in the F22, I had to reregister all of my FSDT products and save a backup (last night I updated my BIOS so this might have been the cause of that).

Had flashing when looking straight out in the F22.  In other views, no flashing.  Loaded the F35 and flashing gone.  Loaded the F22 and flashing gone.  No other anomalies.

I also had to re-register all my FSDT products right after doing a BIOS update a few months ago.
