Brasilia on the production line

Recommended Posts

Carenado continues its foray into the regional turboprop world, with a Facebook announcement that it is developing the Embraer 120 Brasilia for FSX and P3D. Screenshots of the early external model look good!

Hi Bill,

I loved Erick Cantu's model combined with somebody named Markus (South America ???) panel in FS9 - flew the wings off that bird... This would be truly hard for me to resist even knowing the frustration it will probably incur...

Regards,
Scott

This is really a very nice aircraft. Hopefully Carenado is able to reproduce most of its features in the upcoming release.

Hi Scott,

Like you, I used Eric Cantu’s Brasilia quite a bit in FS9 and by chance, about a month ago, I discovered an updated FSX native version of it and thought I would give it a try. The external modelling of this freeware version was really excellent with around 30 great liveries included in the package and the systems replication was also pretty good but unfortunately the visual quality of the VC was a let down. Despite the blurry, almost pre-FS9 VC however, I was able to have quite a nice flight in it using the GTN750 but a good VC would have put it up there amongst the best freeware addons. I had intended to install a freeware Brasilia panel, which I found, to see if that improved things but I never got around to it. I guess now however I will just wait for the Carenado version and hope against hope (yet again!) that the quality of systems modelling might replicate the quality of the visual model!

Bill
