Excellent images of the carrier and your Harrier taking off...the control tower shot is especially nice in the 2nd image. And, agree, #21 in "Green" uniform, seems highly attentive to your needs...🙂...you're in good hands, it looks like...Thanks for posting these DCS shots!

Great shots Patrick, but i couldn't open the larger images.  Why is there a small blue "+" on some shots?

Thank You Dan,I use VR and that "x" is my click spot when tracking.I think because of VR the pics are not expandable.Sorry

Dan,I can only describe The VR Experience telling you this short story.....

After I received my Oculas Rift head set I immediately tried out my favorite Russian Chopper in DCS ,The Mi-8 "Hippo" ,I sat there in total Amazment as I looked around the spacious cockpit....all the switches...levers....knobs....dials...gauges...all in 3D,Life like and totally realistic.I was "IN" the cockpit.

I took it for a flight into enemy territory,All the while being totally submersed in The Flight experience,I soon saw a quick flash from the ground as an enemy SAM site had locked on to me......BOOM.....I was jarred by a large explosion that hit my tail rotor and sent me into an uncontrollable spin....As I hurled to the ground in the massive chopper I reached out my arm to brace for impact......I actually reached out my arm!!! ...but instead of The Cockpit instrument panel.....my hand only found the edge of my computer desk:biggrin:

But my brain had been tricked!!! I was so immersed in the Sim that my brain thought I was in actual Danger and my reflexes kicked in to protect myself.

Now that my friend is the definition of "Immersive Expierience"

I just flew Xplane11's F4 off the Nimitz this morning, just loved the cat shot and takeoff, the first I have ever flown.  The F4 even shot up water in its wake as it climbed away from the carrier.  Carrier ops are not for the faint hearted.  The Final Countdown, a must watch!

You'll have to try that again when 11.30 is soon released and you will have fancy particle water shooting up next time😂

particle system should be interesting especially for water / clouds / smoke.

Only concern, will it impact fps negatively?  I'd hate to upgrade to 11.30 only to find that out.  Only thing I want it for are the contrails, and I am surprised a particle system is required to change them to white.
