P2AFPL Appended to Flight Plans

Recommended Posts

I note that some flight plans (XP11) have P2AFPL appended to the origin and destination airport (i.e., KMDW KIND P2AFPL.fms) in the file name.  I'm just curious what this means?  Thanks!

OK - thanks.  I note that, if I export before getting clearance it doesn't do that.  It just has the origin and destination airports.  So, it's best to file, get clearance and then export?

That would ensure that the export matches the cleared flight plan, so generally it's a good idea.

In some aircraft, you will still have to set the procedures (SID, STAR, Approach) manually after importing the flight plan.
