F1 GTN 750

Recommended Posts

1. When I use the GTN 750 on compatible default P3D aircraft- it appears as a Pop-Up, but often disappears from the screen. I have to reopen the pop up. Is there a way to keep it on the screen or Toggle it off/on?

2. On a couple of aircraft where there is a space for the GTN 750- it covers other instruments (like the autopilot). Can the GTN be resized?

Thanks!

Re 2.

You can resize any gauge in P3D.. just edit the panel.cfg file with Notepad.

1.) In the panel.cfg add the line

type=special

to the F1 GTN window.

Thanks. I will try to figure this out. Unfortunately your good advice is much higher level than my pc skills. I don’t know where to find these files or edit them. Will look.

Look in Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\SimObjects\Airplanes\

There you will find folders for each airplane that you have installed.

In each airplane folder there should be a panel folder.

In the panel folder, a panel.cfg file which you can edit, using Notepad.

Tell us which airplane you are trying to change, and someone here will help..

A related question - when I change my 4 data points on the gauge they keep reverting back to the defaults on the next flight.  Does anyone know the cause of this?

Thanks
