Version 12.0: FSX freezes

Hi Nico,

i’ve just rolled back to version 11.9 as with 12.0 as soon as I start your application FSX halts, basically it freezes and I need to disconnect the PC as nothing works. 

I know FSX is very old, but which could be the cause for this halt? Without it works flawlessy and with version 11.9 it’s working perfectly now

Strange, I only changed the parking positions files, nothing that should interfere with FSX ...

What exactly do you mean with "halts" ? and please post your PSXseeconTraffic.log of a session with version 12.0 of course.

 

EDIT: if you were using your own AI_liveries.txt file, you should use AILGenerator 3.0 to produce an xml version.

Hi Nico, Thanks for your prompt reply. 

Basically as soon as the application starts liveries are shown and few seconds later the screen stops responding, I can listen to the sound but the image remains stuck and after a few minutes FSX closes. It happens both with "heavy fps" aircrafts but also with the trike and only with version 12.0

Hi,

Are you using the latest FLAi package in FSX? The FLAi subfolder in PSXseeconTraffic v12.0 contains an AI_liveries.xml for the liveries I have downloaded the day before yesterday.

Ok, I see no strange things in the log file...

It looks to me like a problem with a livery in FSX, thats the only way PSXseeconTraffic communicates with FSX. It ask's via SimConnect to create a livery and it sends position updates. That part of PSXseeconTraffic has not changed at all from 11.9 to 12...

So what do you suggest do in order to fix the issue. I tried to update once again the liveries and also in a small airport it crashes

I suggest to try another livery set, MT6 or Traffic Global, or ..

You could also remove say half of the FLAi liveries in FSX, run AILGenerator to create a correct AI_liveries.xml. Change your AI Liveries parameter to the AILGenerator folder.

Then see if it is gone, and so on...

Confirm it should be a livery issue. Tried with half FLAi and other half but after liveries load FSX crashes. 

Tried without any livery path and also version 12.0 works properly, so I suspect is liveries related
