Nvidia 2080 Ti's failing more than they should?

The GeForce RTX 2080 Ti is the cream of the crop at the moment (when it's actually working), with the capability of handling 60fps, 4K gaming comfortably, as well as sporting the breakthrough feature known as ray tracing.

Perhaps the premature failures wouldn’t be so hard-hitting if the cost of the unit wasn’t so obscene – the Founders Edition will set you back $1,199 (£1,099, AU$1,899) for instance.

Hopefully this is an instance of the first batch of units needing a few kinks ironed out and some bugs patched, as the card shows a lot of promise.

Interesting, no issues with my cards so far, fingers crossed.  They do run very hot, hence my converting them over to water blocks and big radiators.

There was a spate of this when the TM Warthog was released, lot's of the circuit boards burnt out, and yet the majority (mine included) were (and still are) fine. I believe it was a dodgy batch of components, and the same will probably prove true for the 2080's

No issue so far with mine neither.
But yes it's running very hot and noisy compared to the 1080.
Apart from that, I see a real improvement in cloudy environment and a much smooth simulator in all situations with the 2080Ti model.
